Street Fighter X Tekken complaints~

Hi everyone,

I'll start by getting straight to the point.  The winning strategy behind winning a fight in this game is based around juggling the opponent. This means that your goal is to keep the enemy in the air and unable to hit you. If you are good at this, you will be able to almost 100% kill an enemy off while juggling the entire time.

This might sound fun, but it's not very fun in reality. You find that players will do nothing but block and wait for the moment to set up their juggle, and then you can do nothing but pound buttons while half your life falls off.

As a result of this juggle system, it's not so much about predicting your enemy's moves and countering them as it is waiting for that one moment to get the enemy in a juggle he or she cannot get out of regardless of skill.

Another huge problem with this game is that it's fighters are severely unbalanced. If you are playing with your friends than I'm sure it's no big deal, but if you find that you would like to play online or get into ranked play, you will find Akuma, and Ken almost every match. Naturally they are both amazing jugglers.

I would suggest that anyone looking to purchase a fighter game that involves predicting the enemies moves and fighting rather than juggling each other, I would recommend you take a look at Soul Calibur V.

Thanks,

Luna

This is why Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 for PS3 is broken.

Hi everyone!

If you don't know me, which I'm guessing you don't, my name is Luna. I'm an avid gamer, and my love of gaming since childhood has given me a passion for computers which has lead to accidentally learning to program, and starting a company called SoulCreative that creates and maintains websites for business clients!

Anyway, I'm 17 years old, and I've been playing Call of Duty since MW2. I know all the hard points in championship league play, I use the M8 for ranged play, and the Vector for close range. The highest my KD has ever been was 1.7 in MW3.. or was it Black Ops 1? I forget. Moving on, I like to think I'm a good player. I understand that it's as much a psychological game as it is visual.

So the reason this game is broken is from it's problems with Lag Comp. From my experience as a web developer, I really have a good understanding of how servers and databases work and communicate with each other, and I've come to the conclusion that no matter what happens, if any sort of lag exists within the lobby of your game, someone is going to have an advantage, and someone is going to have a disadvantage.

The advantage is that one player will be in the future literally compared to what you see.

Imagine a player rounds a corner and sees you sitting there waiting for him. That player will round that corner and be looking at you while at that same instance in time, you will still be sitting there not seeing anything. This effect might only give the other player a quarter or an eighth of a second, but in competitive league play when you have two players both with near instant aim, those eighth and quarter seconds play a significant role.

This is why we so often go into a competitive match in league, and find one team completely dominates the other. Perhaps a player on the enemy team ends up 32 and 4, and you, while normally always at the top, find yourself horrible negative. I go into these lobbies and I hear so many people rage at this effect, but they always end up blaming each other or themselves. They never blame it on the true problem, and that is that PS3 doesn't have their own private servers. They force the average user with a mediocre connection and then try to intentionally lag one user to make it more fair for the other, but due to all the unknown variables that they can't consider when they wrote the algorithm, it's significantly flawed and inaccurate.

As a result of this, I find there is almost no way to play Black Ops 2 competitively because any given match either you are murdering everyone with your entire team and your untouchable, or your entire team is getting murdered, and laughing while your team's mics are filled with blame and frustration.

It's a very tragic game Treyarch is playing. I for one have decided not to put a significant investment of time into the companies products anymore until the entire world is using fiber optics, or perhaps they figure out quantum entanglement. It makes me sad because I really like FPS games.

Thanks so much for reading!
